As a practice in poster design, I made a few promotional posters for an internal group. The goal of the series was to inspire a sense of workplace unity and support, and many of these posters were displayed in office buildings in multiple locations. (For the sake of privacy, the company name has been censored or removed from these posters.)
Creating a series of randomly themed graphics, I practiced hand lettering, illustration, and color theory.
The music by Japanese Breakfast is bright and melodic, drawing you immediately into lead singer Michelle Zauner's world. But the lyrics reveal a darker side of the human experience, one dwells on uncertainty and the failure to be accepted and understood.
A simple poster created in honor of MLK Day (and admittedly, used as an excuse to print on a risograph).
